Mediation is a powerful tool for resolving a wide range of workplace issues before they require formal disciplinary action or costly legal proceedings. It is a confidential and voluntary process that empowers your team to find their own lasting solutions.

We can assist with conflicts related to:

  • Interpersonal disputes between colleagues

  • Breakdowns in communication between managers and employees

  • Allegations of bullying or harassment

  • Disagreements over roles, responsibilities, or workload

  • Challenges arising from organisational change

The type of personal information we collect 

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details).

  • Details about your matter and related information.

 

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • For the provision of dispute resolution, coaching, training and development, and associated support services.

 

We also receive personal information indirectly from organisations, businesses and individuals that commission our services.

We use the information that you have given us in order to deliver our services.

We may share your personal information with other identified persons to provide your services and, if applicable, the organisation or individual who has asked us to carry out the work. We will only share information if we have your explicit consent.

 

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

 

  • (a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting debwatkins8@googlemail.com

  • (b) We have a contractual obligation.

 

How we store your personal information 

  • Your information is securely stored in hard copy and / or electronically.

  • We will keep a copy of your Agreement to Mediate / Agreement to Engage in Conflict Coaching for 6 years (as part of your contract documentation). 

  • Your contact details will be kept for 6 months following the end of your service.

  • Information you provide to us as part of a complaint will be held for 2 years. 

  • Notes taken during dispute resolution sessions will be securely destroyed immediately on completion. 

At the end of these periods, your information will be securely and permanently destroyed.

 

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

  • Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 

  • Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 

  • Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 

  • Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
